This role supports production continuity, inventory accuracy, and effective materials management by reconciling physical inventory to ERP system records and researching variances in a timely and accurate manner.Job Description\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nConduct Daily Counts: Perform physical inventory counts of raw materials, hardware, sub-assemblies, and finished products based on a scheduled cycle.\nAudit Production Lines: Verify and reconcile WIP inventory at various stages of the assembly line and within production cells.\nInvestigate Discrepancies: Research root causes of inventory variances, missing materials, or system errors by reviewing receiving logs and production history.\nDocument Material Waste: Track, log, and reconcile raw materials damaged, scrapped, or discarded during the manufacturing process.\n Update ERP Systems: Input accurate count data into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and use handheld RF barcode scanners.\n Maintain Safety Standards: Navigate active production zones safely, adhering to all OSHA guidelines and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.\nExperience: 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or materials handling within a manufacturing or factory environment.\n Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and basic Microsoft Excel skills.\n Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM), production schedules, and basic assembly workflows.\nMath & Detail Focus: Strong basic arithmetic skills, high data entry accuracy, and strong problem-solving abilities.\n Certifications: Prior experience or certification operating materials handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is preferred.\nCommunication: Ability to communicate inventory discrepancies, count results, and process concerns clearly with production, materials, warehouse, and finance teams.\nWork Style: Reliable, organized, and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.\nPreferred QualificationsPrior experience using Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP inventory modules.\nExperience with RF barcode scanners, cycle count programs, or inventory audit processes.\nExperience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production floor environment.\n\nPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk on concrete warehouse floors for up to 8-10 hours per shift.\nCapability to lift, push, and pull inventory items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with moving machinery, conveyor systems, and fluctuating temperatures.\n\nWork Environment This position works primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and requires regular interaction with production areas, inventory storage locations, receiving, shipping, and materials teams.
