As we move deeper into the age of robotics, the impact of motors will only increase.\nWith over 140,000 employees stationed worldwide, Nidec continues to be a unique organization, and each location maintains its individual personality.\nJob Description\nMid-level embedded firmware engineers responsible for owning firmware modules end-to-end, delivering robust implementations, improving architecture quality, and supporting cross-functional system integration.\nResponsibilities\nLead development of robust modules for embedded system\nDesign, implement, test, and release firmware features from specification to production\nOptimize firmware for performance, determinism, memory footprint, and reliability\nDrive complex debugging activities and perform deep root-cause analysis\nReview technical specifications, test procedures, and code contributions from team members\nSupport hardware bring-up and new board revisions\nImprove firmware architecture, modularity, and maintainability\nContribute to process improvements (code reviews, Git workflows, documentation standards)\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science (Master’s is a plus)\n3+ years of professional embedded firmware experience\nStrong embedded C programming skills and deep understanding\nProven experience with ARM Cortex microcontrollers, especially STM32.
