The role manages invoice processing, payment runs, vendor wire and ACH activities, and confidential invoices, while overseeing asset acquisitions, transfers, capitalization, depreciation, disposals, impairments, reconciliations, physical inventories, and capital expenditure monitoring. This position ensures compliance with NIAP, IFRS, internal policies, and internal controls; supports audit, tax and regulatory requirements; and partners with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to strengthen financial accuracy, asset stewardship, and process improvement.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\n· Maintain fixed asset records and the fixed asset subledger\n· Record asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and impairments\n· Manage construction-in-progress (CIP) projects and capitalization activities\n· Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization\n· Reconcile fixed asset accounts to the ledger\n· Perform physical asset inventories and investigate discrepancies\n· Monitor capital expenditures against approved budgets\n· Evaluate assets for impairment, obsolescence, and retirement opportunities\n· Prepare supporting documentation for audits, property tax filings, and regulatory reporting\n· Parter with Operations, Engineering and Finance to ensure accurate asset tracking and reporting\n· Support process improvements, policy compliance, and internal control initiatives\n· Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned\n· Enter accounts payable invoices into Oracle, as needed\n· Process confidential accounts payable invoices that are not routed through DataServ\n· Ensure accounts payable payment runs are completed accurately and on schedule\n· Manage vendor wire payments\n· Manage vendor enrollment in ACH payments\nExperience/Skills:\n· 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in fixed assets or manufacturing\n· Knowledge of IFRS, and fixed asset accounting principles\n· Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills\n· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field\nMUST BE A SOLE US CITIZEN\nAdditional Job Details\nCHECK OUT OUR CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:Nidec Power | Careers\nEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec\nNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
