For the world's and people's tomorrows; the world's first, the world's best technologies and products; we will continue our part in creating a better society.\nJob Summary\nJob Description\nThe Program Manager - Drive System Solutions is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional programs that support the development, launch, and delivery of drive system solutions.\nThis role works closely with the Drive System Solutions Product Manager and Systems Engineering team to ensure alignment between product strategy, solution development, and execution.\nCore Objective: Drive program execution excellence by aligning cross-functional teams to deliver integrated drive system solutions that meet customer needs, business objectives, and time-to-market targets.\nCore Objective: Drive global product strategy and portfolio execution while accelerating market adoption and lifecycle value of the Drive System Solutions product line.\nResponsibilities\nProgram Planning & Execution\nDefine program scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with product strategy and customer requirements\n\nDevelop and manage detailed program plans, including milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements\n\nEnsure on-time and high-quality execution of product and solution development initiatives\n\nIdentify risks, manage mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues impacting program delivery\n\nCross-Functional Coordination\nServe as the central coordination point between Product Management, Systems Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Engineering\n\nEnsure alignment across teams on program priorities, deliverables, and timelines\n\nFacilitate regular program reviews and communication to stakeholders\n\nDrive accountability across functions to ensure successful execution\n\nSupport to Product Management\nPartner with the Drive System Solutions Product Manager to translate product strategy and roadmap into executable programs\n\nSupport product development initiatives from concept through launch\n\nEnsure alignment between product requirements, program plans, and execution activities\n\nTrack program performance relative to business objectives (growth, margin, adoption)\n\nSupport to Systems Engineering Team\nCollaborate closely with Systems Engineering to ensure solution development activities are aligned with program timelines and deliverables\n\nEnable efficient execution of system-level design, validation, and integration activities\n\nHelp prioritize engineering efforts based on business impact and customer needs\n\nEnsure technical deliverables are completed and integrated into overall program execution\n\nProduct Launch Management\nCoordinate product launches, ensuring readiness across engineering, operations, sales, and support functions\n\nEnsure effective communication and alignment during product introductions and transitions\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required\n\n5+ years of experience in program management or related roles in automation or industrial systems\n\nExperience working with integrated systems, motion control, drives, and automation technologies preferred\n\nProven ability o manage complex, cross-functional programs in global environments\n\nStrong leadership and coordination skills without direct authority\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities\n\nStrong analytical, problem solving and organization skills\n\nCustomer-focused mindset with experience supporting application-driven product development\n\nFamiliarity with program management tools and methodologies (e.g., stage-gate, Agile, or hybrid approaches) preferred\n\nAdditional Job Details\nEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec\nNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
