This role serves as a key resource between Corporate Quality, Engineering, Operations, Plant Quality, and Sales, providing technical expertise, data analysis, and advanced troubleshooting support.Job Description\nKey Responsibilities\nLead motor teardown failure analysis on field and production returns to identify root causes.\nDocument and communicate findings to Corporate and Plant Quality teams and support corrective actions.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for quality-related issues.\nCollect, analyze, and interpret quality and reliability data to support improvement initiatives.\nSupport reliability testing and validation activities for new and existing products.\nCoordinate testing requests with the Nidec Motor Technology Center and other laboratories.\nAssist with customer complaint investigations and resolution activities.\nPrepare and coordinate shipment of samples, returned products, and testing materials.\nTrack project status, priorities, and response times to support customer and internal needs.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians as needed.\nConduct visits to customer sites and perform analysis of motor line issues.\nMaintain database of motor teardown analysis and generate periodic reports\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAdvanced knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement systems, and test equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.\nStrong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nSelf-motivated and capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nEducation\nAssociate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, engineering technician, or related environment.\nExperience conducting product failure analysis, quality investigations, and data analysis.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives preferred.\nAdditional Job Details\nEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec\nNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
