For the world's and people's tomorrows; the world's first, the world's best technologies and products; we will continue our part in creating a better society.\nJob Summary\nJob Description\nObjective\nPerforms any combination of following tasks to inspect and repair printed circuit boards: Inserts plus gauges into drilled holes of PCB panels to verify conformance to specified dimension. Measures thickness and dimensions of plating on PCB panels to verify that plating meets specifications, using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, rulers, eye loupes, and electronic measuring devices. \nEssential Responsibilities\nExamines PCB circuitry to detect defects,, such as shorts, breaks, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and incorrect layout, using light table, eye loupe, mangnifier or microscope.\nBrushes solder mask ink on PCB’s to repair defects in screen printing.\nScrapes excess plating or solder mask ink from PCB’s using utility knife.\nRepairs broken circuitry, using soldering iron\nRecords type and quantity of defective PCB’s.\nTests adherence of solder mask ink to PCB’s using tape.\nTest continuity of PCB circuits, using bare board tester.\nMay inspect inner layers of multilayer PCB’s to verify that internal alignment and location of drilled holes meet specifications and be designated x-ray technician, printed circuit boards.\nExperience: 1+ year\nEducation: High School or Equivalent\nCertifications: N/A\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\n2+ years of inspection (preferably solder inspection experience.)\nAbility to perform simple math computation\nAbility to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others\nAbility to learn, understand and adhere to all applicable safety precautions and procedures.\nScope of Supervision: N/A\nTravel Required: Negligible\nPhysical Demand (Special Considerations): While performing the duties of this job, the employee consistently is required to use hands to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
