The role requires a handson engineer who can take ownership from solution design through implementation and deployment.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that process massive volumes of\nconsumer and retail data for customers around the globe.\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python. \nDesign and implement AI/ML and Generative AI solutions to solve business problems. \nTranslate business requirements into technical designs and executable solutions. \nBuild and integrate APIs, microservices, and backend services. \nDesign database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and performance. \nWork independently to drive projects from requirement gathering through production \ndeployment. \nEvaluate new technologies, AI frameworks, and tools to improve engineering efficiency. \nTroubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. \nEnsure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations \nteams. \nCreate technical documentation, design documents, and operational runbooks. \nParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.\n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. \n4-7 years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise-grade \napplications. \nStrong hands-on expertise in Python. \nProven experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems. \n Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and software \ndesign principles. \nExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling, \nperformance tuning, and query optimization. \nStrong SQL skills including query optimization, indexing, and database design. \nStrong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous processing, messaging patterns, and \nscalable application design. \nExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP. \nKnowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, and engineering best practices. \nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive complex technical \nsolutions. \nDemonstrated ability to incorporate AI-enabled development workflows while maintaining \nengineering rigor, security standards, code quality, and architectural best practices.\nExperience working in Agile development environments. \nExcellent communication and collaboration skills. \n Our Benefits\nFlexible working environment\nVolunteer time off\nLinkedIn Learning\nEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)\nNIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including résumé screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support, and certain administrative tasks that help streamline workflows.
