Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident-helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most.\nCloud Systems Administrators will manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, and health monitoring of Bespin cloud engagement kits. These positions require hands-on technical expertise to ensure system availability, security, and performance while providing real-time support to operational teams during critical missions.\nResponsibilities:\nDeploy and configure engagement kits within required timelines following government approval\n\nApply updates, patches, and security configurations to cloud infrastructure\n\nMonitor system health, performance metrics, and resource utilization\n\nPerform real-time troubleshooting and remediation during active operations\n\nManage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and security services\n\nEnsure verified functionality of all tools, services, and environments per engagement parameters\n\nMaintain system documentation and configuration records\n\nCoordinate secure decommissioning and termination of engagement kits\n\nSupport data archival processes and engagement closeout procedures\n\nImplement and maintain continuous monitoring solutions\n\nRespond to service outages and coordinate recovery efforts\n\nManage user access, permissions, and identity management\n\nRequired Skills:\nU.S. Citizenship\n\nMusthavean activeTS/SCI clearance\n\nMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability\n\n3+ years of experience administering cloud-based systems, preferably AWS\n\nStrong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server administration\n\nExperience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch\n\nUnderstanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)\n\nFamiliarity with security best practices and compliance requirements\n\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools\n\nAbility to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments\n\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\n\nExcellent documentation abilities\n\nDesired Skills:\nExperience supporting incident response or cybersecurity operations\n\nKnowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)\n\nScripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)\n\nExperience with backup and disaster recovery procedures\n\nFamiliarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks\n\nRequired Education:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field,or High School diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience\n\nDesired Certifications:\nAWS Certified SysOps Administrator or similar certification\n\nSyndeo:ESS-3411, ESS-3412\n Salary & Benefits\n\nThe salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
