Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets.\nNightwing is searching for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a customer in the Dulles, Virginia area. The ISSE will support a team of talented software developers and engineers providing application development and operations and maintenance support to Sponsor mission critical systems.\nWhat You Will Get to Do:\nPrepare Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documents and procedures.\nCollaborate with program ISSE and other Government security representatives.\nSupport adherence to all aspects of the Information Assurance (IA) program as stipulated by various USG requirements including but not limited to Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 and associated NIST publications.\nSupport the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of secure government information systems.\nWork closely with system owners, program managers, and security teams to protect mission-critical systems from evolving threats.\nEngineer, implement, and maintain security controls for federal information systems in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).\nDevelop and maintain system security documentation, including SSPs, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), security architecture diagrams, and continuous monitoring artifacts.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that strengthen the Sponsor's security posture.\nMonitor security systems, analyze logs, and respond to security incidents or anomalies.\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor's Degree (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline).\nRequired experience: 8+ years.\nExperience supporting federal cybersecurity programs or government IT environments.\nStrong knowledge of NIST SP 800-3, NIST SP 800-37 (RMF), and federal security compliance processes.\nFamiliarity with secure system design principles, encryption, identity management, and access control.\nAbility to produce high-quality technical documentation for audits and accreditation.\nExperience in executing scans using vulnerability scanning tools to include Nessus, AppDetective, WebInspect, and other vulnerability scanners.\nExperience with the Sponsor's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Tool.\nDemonstrated experience with cyber security concepts to include encryption services, access control, information protection, and network security.\nExperience with AWS cloud security compliance.\nDemonstrated experience with creating and validating evidence for NIST security controls.\nTS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1\n Salary & Benefits\n\nThe salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
