This role will also contribute to the creation, maintenance, and expansion of such a system across multiple domains. We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator with strong database, automation, and cloud integration experience to help shape and execute this forward-leaning effort. This position plays a key role in enhancing cybersecurity posture, improving operational efficiency, and working with key external partners to support a highly complex Threat Intelligence platform.\nJob Responsibilities:\nStandardize processes across multiple CISA environments\nPrioritize critical updates aligned with CISA IT cybersecurity objectives\nIntegrate automation and intelligent systems to reduce manual effort\nStrengthen collaboration between CISA teams, government sponsors, and tenants\nImprove transparency, metrics, and operational agility\nLeverage deep technical expertise to automate tasks and optimize system performance\nSupport cloud environments while contributing to the development of enterprise-wide patching standards and best practices\nEngineer and maintain Linux system architectures (primarily RHEL 8/9/10 and AWS Linux)\nPerform OS security hardening, patching, and lifecycle maintenance\nManage backup, recovery, and configuration documentation to ensure system integrity\nEngineer the design and implementation of standardized patching methodologies across AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud environments\nPrioritize and execute critical updates in alignment with CISA IT Patch Management Guidelines\nParticipate in efforts to refine workflows, metrics, and operational processes.\nIntegrate AWS, AZURE and Google native services to enhance performance, resilience, and scalability of patching and DevOps infrastructure\nEvaluate and implement AI capabilities into the Threat Intelligence Platform.\nContribute to enterprise cloud and DevOps standards, guidelines, and best practices\nServe as a central conduit between ESS teams, government sponsors, and tenants.\nEstablish and track metrics such as patch compliance, deployment timelines, and automation achievements\nSupport iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback and operational data.\nFollow established testing and implementation methods to ensure stability and interoperability of vendor provided patches and code.\nRecreate unique circumstances within a database to reproduce issues experienced by users and analyze database behavior for potential solutions.\nCoordinate and work with external experts from multiple vendors simultaneously to troubleshoot complex issues in a highly integrated environment supporting both a complex database as well as multiple dependent applications.\nRequired Skills:\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust have an active TS/SCI clearance\nMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability\n5+ years of Linux systems administration experience (RHEL 8/9/10 preferred)\nStrong background in Linux Engineering\nExperience with PostgreSQL databases\nExperience with performance tuning and troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage layers\nExperience with general networking concepts or AWS specific networking and security.\nundefinedDesired Skills: Experience in development environmentsExperience in Classified EnvironmentsExperience with SELinux, multilevel security systems, or Cross Domain SolutionsExperience coordinating with external vendors to communicate customer needs and feature requests.Experience with HTTP API’s and authentication using API keys and OAuth Tokens Required Education: BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.
