In this role, responsibilities would include conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and advocating for user-centered design principles. It would also include an understanding of the user's needs, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate requirements into intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly designs.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct user research: Perform interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and pain points.\nCreate design deliverables: Develop user stories and personas, journey maps, wireframes, site maps, and high-fidelity, clickable prototypes.\nDesign and iterate: Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for digital products and iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics.\nCollaborate with teams: Partner with product managers, UI designers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered solutions.\nAdvocate for UX: Champion user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organization.\nEnsure accessibility: Integrate accessibility standards into the design process and conduct accessibility compliance assessments.\nPresent findings: Communicate research findings and design concepts clearly to stakeholders through presentations and reports.\nHand off to development: Prepare and hand off design assets and specifications to the development team for implementation.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nMust have 14 years of related experience\nMust have 5 years’ experience supporting the mission\nAn additional 6 years’ experience can be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience can substituted with an Associate’s degree.\nA Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years additional related work experience maybe substituted for a Master’s degree.\nProven experience in UX/UI design, supported by a portfolio of professional work.\nCurrent TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph\nProficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Adobe Creative Suite.\n Familiarity with front-end development principles (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Next.js) is a plus.\n Familiarity with workflow design and development principles (e.g., ReactFlow, JointJS, Apache Airflow, Prefect, Flowable) is a plus.\nDeep understanding of user behavior, human-computer interaction, and user-centered design methodologies.\nExperience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.\n Familiarity with front-end development principles (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is often a plus.\nA mobile-first and responsive design mindset.\n Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Design)\nPlease Note: This position is Contingent Upon Contract Award\nThe salary associated with this position $122,000-$253,000 is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
