This role will advise a subset of our business functions.\nYou will work in the Global Compensation team and report directly to the Director of Compensation Consulting.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nWe are looking for a Lead Compensation Consultant who will work alongside the Global Compensation team, business-facing HR Partners, extended HR teams, and business Executives to provide comprehensive advising support for Nike’s compensation programs.\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, navigating ambiguity, and helping leaders make informed decisions. Success in this role is not about applying compensation rules in a vacuum. It's about understanding business context, evaluating competing priorities, building clear recommendations, and influencing decisions through expertise and strong relationships.\nYou'll regularly encounter situations where:\nNavigate complex situations where there may be multiple paths forward rather than a single \"right\" answer.\n\nPartner with stakeholders whose priorities and perspectives may differ, helping align teams toward shared goals.\n\nProvide thoughtful recommendations and guidance, even when decisions are challenging or viewpoints vary.\n\nUse sound judgment to move work forward when not all information is immediately available.\n\nInfluence decisions and outcomes through credibility, expertise, and strong relationships.\n\nYou are likely to thrive in this role if you:\nEnjoy ambiguity and can make progress without perfect information.\n\nTake an analytical, evidence-based approach to problem solving.\n\nApply thoughtful judgment when navigating nuanced people or business matters.\n\nStay curious and ask proactive questions before reaching conclusions.\n\nBuild trust by respectfully offering new perspectives and constructive guidance with stakeholders while maintaining strong partnerships.\n\nBring energy and optimism, especially during periods of change.\n\nBalance the needs of employees, leaders, and the broader organization.\n\nCommunicate complex concepts in simple, actionable language.\n\nOur new teammate will be accountable for projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements. We are searching for someone who has both compensation expertise, but also practical experience communicating with partners outside of the compensation function to explain difficult issues, work to build consensus, and influence programs and processes. Performing work in support of company plans, we need a professional who is capable of making decisions within guidelines and policies, as well as someone who demonstrates an understanding of how the business experiences compensation programs and good judgment when reviewing exceptions.\nA minimum of 6 years demonstrable experience in compensation including program design, market surveys, compensation operations, and business advising.\n\nBachelor’s degree in a closely related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.\n\nAble to act as leader for colleagues with less experience; may coordinate the work of other staff members when needed.\n\nImpacts a range of standard and non-standard customer, operational, process, project or service activities.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL WORK ON\nIn your first year, you'll:\nBuild strategic relationships with business-facing HR Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.\n\nServe as a trusted specialist for compensation initiatives, programs, and processes.\n\nDevelop thoughtful recommendations on complex compensation matters.\n\nApply compensation programs consistently while accounting for business context.\n\nNavigate escalated issues confidently and independently.\n\nInfluence decisions through expertise, communication, and partnership.\n\nProvide feedback from partners on the effectiveness of various areas, including compensation initiatives, programs, processes, tools, readiness, the HR operating model, etc.\n\nContribute positively to team culture and help others succeed.\n\nWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed. If you discover, as you navigate our application process, that you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please complete the Candidate Accommodation Request Form.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4496,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Footwear","Sporting Goods","Sportswear & Activewear"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-20T10:12:57Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 220 · green card filings: 201","filings_12m":220,"filings_prev_12m":373,"green_card_filings_12m":201,"median_offered_wage_usd":162441,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)","US Department of Labor: PERM disclosure data (green cards)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":15,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.416,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":37,"expected_fill_days":14,"reasons":["conf:2","stale_co","velocity","win:tail","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-23T05:54:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/nike-lead-compensation-consultant","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/nike-lead-compensation-consultant.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-23T14:42:05Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":22073,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-24T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1634},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1634"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fnike-lead-compensation-consultant"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fnike-lead-compensation-consultant"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fnike-lead-compensation-consultant"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/nike-lead-compensation-consultant\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fnike-lead-compensation-consultant"}]}
