The role partners with Global Logistics Procurement and category leads, global and geography transportation, distribution, and operations teams, Procurement Operations, Finance, Legal, and the procurement managed service provider (MSP).\nGlobal teams develop category strategies, while the lead translates those strategies into practical business execution across global logistics, with a primary focus on distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), and outbound transportation.\n\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nNike is looking for an experienced supply chain procurement leader who can engage stakeholders, translate global category strategies into practical execution, and deliver measurable business outcomes across global logistics. The ideal candidate brings a logistics procurement background, strong operational knowledge across distribution, 3PL, and outbound transportation, and a category leadership mindset.\nThis role is focused on category execution rather than traditional sourcing. Working knowledge of sourcing is important, but the strongest candidate will be distinguished by global logistics depth, experienced judgment, and the ability to connect operational requirements with external supplier and market capabilities.\n6+ years of relevant experience in logistics procurement, distribution, 3PL, outbound transportation, supply chain operations, category management, sourcing, or a closely related field.\nStrong knowledge of global logistics operations, particularly distribution, 3PL, and outbound transportation, and the factors that shape supplier and category decisions.\nProven ability to engage stakeholders, clarify business requirements, develop strategy, influence decisions, and lead execution in a matrixed organization. \nWorking knowledge of strategic sourcing, including requests for information, quotation, and proposal (RFx); supplier evaluation; negotiations; and contracting.\nExperience leading complex, multi-million-dollar initiatives and evaluating cost, service, capability, operational, and risk trade-offs. \nClear, influential communication skills, executive presence, analytical acumen, and the judgment to navigate ambiguity and move work forward. \nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, finance, industrial engineering, program management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred. \nWHAT YOU WILL WORK ON\nThe Procurement Logistics lead will translate global category strategies into practical execution across distribution, 3PL, and outbound transportation while delivering value, managing risk, and advancing business objectives.\nBuild trusted stakeholder relationships and align on the prioritization and sequencing of incoming work based on business requirements, value, and risk.\nTranslate global logistics requirements, including distribution, 3PL, and outbound transportation, into actionable category and procurement plans.\nLead category execution from strategy through supplier recommendation and contract award, aligning stakeholders on decision criteria, must-haves, trade-offs, and negotiation plans. \nUse operational and market knowledge to evaluate supplier capabilities, challenge assumptions, identify execution risks, and recommend practical solutions. \nLead complex, multi-million-dollar RFx events and supplier negotiations while maintaining focus on the broader category and business outcome. \nConduct spend, market, supplier, and operational analysis to identify value opportunities and support fact-based decisions. \nProvide direction to Procurement Operations and the procurement managed service provider to ensure high-quality sourcing and contracting execution. \nDevelop concise, executive-ready materials that communicate strategy, recommendations, risks, decisions, and outcomes. \nAdopt and scale effective procurement practices, tools, and ways of working across global logistics.\nWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
