Expert proficiency in object oriented programming & design.\n14+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor developing custom software\n5+ years hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (microservices, REST, domain-driven design, Devops etc). \nStrong knowledge of serverless cloud computing (AWS - preferred), containerisation, CI/CD, automated testing.\n5+ years hands on experience with distributed cloud systems (node, typerscript, Java, Python, EC2, Lambdas, Elasticsearch or AWS/Google Cloud equivalents).\nExperience working with NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB\nExperience with front-end web application technologies (javascript, CSS, HTML5, React/redux, etc.)\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, Codex, or similar, using them to accelerate design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while maintaining code quality and review standards.\nDemonstrated proficiency on agentic development patterns, and curiosity in leveraging AI agents to plan, execute, and verify routine engineering tasks under clear human oversight.\nExcellent influencing, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple peers and cross-functional partners\nResponsible for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend development.
