We have built a new, unified Material Supply Chain organization which will transform our material capabilities, teams, and processes to accelerate our vision to serve every athlete*.\nAs a Senior Materials developer, on the Material development team, you will drive to managematerials development process with assigned material vendors. Resonsible for the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned models to lead to on time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance and profitability goals.\nDrive and execute materials excellence with vendors from buy ready through production \nProduction Management\nPricing Execution\nFacilitate resolution on exceptions.\nAct a primary resource for vendor communication, performance evaluation, management and issue resolution\nSolve problem through research and analyze results\nEstablish and maintain relationships with vendors. Communicate and provide feedback to vendors regarding requests related to innovation, costing, on-time delivery, quality and sustainability. \nStrong partnerships with cross functional team members to implement corrective actions as needed. \nResponsible for maintaining all production tools, vendor source base tools and all pertinent material leadtime, price information in an accurate and timely manner.\nAdditional project and task assignment\nDetail-oriented and results-driven, you thrive in a cross-functional environment. You are comfortable engaging with external manufacturing vendors and internal teams, tailoring your messages accordingly. This role is perfect for a team-player with drive, curiosity, and strong communication skills.\nWHAT WILL YOU WORK ON\nWith your teammates, you will support key initiatives that support a resilient material ecosystem and evolve operations to support key business goals. You’ll lead projects and collaborate with various teams to increase efficiency and effectiveness through process, tools, and communication. You will leverage an analytical mindset towards data systems, analytics, and quality data management.\nAlong with your focused suppliers, you will manage and drive the material sample and production lead time to meet Rapid Response request. You will engage directly with vendors, ensuring they deliver sample and production on time, at the right cost and quality, resolving issues along the way. As a materials operation expert, you will deliver vendor to delivery correct production to meet Nike’s requirements. You will also partner with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivering quality product to the consumer with most efficiency leadtime.\nWHO WILL YOU WORK WITH\nThis role is based in Shanghai and reports into a Material and Trim development Manager, MM. This role will integrates and communicates moderately complex information, sometimes to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter. Acts as resource to teammates.
