You will play an active role in both strategic IT development and day-to-day technical support.\nTask description\nEnsuring the stable and efficient operation of IT systems, including monitoring, backup management, and comprehensive documentation of procedures. \nContributing to the design and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure, including the expansion of collaboration platforms and the support of cloud services. \nManaging incidents, problems, changes, and service requests in accordance with ITIL best practices. \nCoordinating with internal departments and communicating with external solution providers to ensure effective project delivery and technical support. \nEnsuring IT security, implementing protective measures, and continuously improving security-related processes. \nManaging IT projects, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of infrastructure and system-related initiatives. \nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from a University (AEI) in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, or other related fields with a focus on Information Technology and Information Systems. \nInitial practical or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: \nAdministration of Linux/Windows client and server systems. \nAdministration of Active Directory Domain. \nAdministration of virtualization solutions (e.g. VMware ESXi, Proxmox).\nNetwork and infrastructure administration (e.g. HP/Aruba, Sophos, VEEAM).\nDatabase administration (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).\nIT security and implementation of information security measures. \nStrong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others, with a service-oriented and professional mindset. \nAbility to work independently, demonstrate initiative, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills. \nExcellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. \nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of the German language. \nVery good knowledge of MS365; experience with Linux systems is an advantage. \nStrong knowledge of file-sharing technologies (NFS, Windows, Samba). \nStrong understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, firewalling-preferably Sophos, routing, DNS/DHCP). \nExperience with Information Security Management Systems and compliance with industry standards (ISO, TISAX). \nExperience in penetration testing and vulnerability management. \nExperience in scripting for system processes (e.g. VBA, Python, PowerShell, Bash). \nExperience in hardware maintenance and support. \nWhat we offer\nStructured learning on the job, professional feedback, and a mentor open to all your questions.\nInnovative, highly technically demanding industry and research projects, interdisciplinary teams, and highly qualified colleagues.\nOpen doors, and the chance to take over responsibility quickly - participate, shape, and leave your fingerprint.\nDiscover new talents and shape your career path: Become a specialist, project manager, or manager.\nSimultaneous, collaborative work using modern digital platforms.\nFlexible working hours thanks to our attractive flextime model - only compatible projects.\nEnjoy working with great colleagues in your day-to-day work.\nAre you intrigued to find out more about this position?
