Hours can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on operational needs\nCommunicate effectively with team to support facility production goals on a hourly basis\nDevelops and implements shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to assure effective and efficient operations to meet goals\nProvides direct supervision to warehouse personnel matching skill and background of personnel to work required.\nSupervises all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion\nEnsures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner\nCoordinates the maintenance of equipment with management\nReviews the daily work objective and determines productivity requirements to produce during the shift to meet the overall building objectives\nPartners with other leaders to balance labor ensuring appropriate levels of staffing\nDrafts and submits daily end of shift report\nMakes recommendations to management on initiatives and programs to improve operations and works on those programs\nManages and supervises a fleet of warehouse robots. Participates in the recovery operations of those robots as needed\nDocument robot maintenance issues\nEmployee Relations/Development\nConducts the daily pre-shift meetings covering previous shifts productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload and any other pertinent company information\nAssists in developing a program to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness\nAssists in developing a program for all new personnel and ensures the onboarding program is followed\nManages and maintains good human resources practices with direct reports, and adherence to established corporate and department policies and procedures\nWorks with Management and Human Resources to resolve employee relation issues, discipline actions, problem resolution and terminations\nProvides feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance personnel’s skill development\nPlays an active role in employee development and talent selection.\nProvides regular coaching and constructive feedback on performance, prepares and delivers hourly performance reviews\nMaintains accurate timekeeping records\nExhibits a commitment to self-development by staying current on information, tools, and systems\nSafety and Security\nEnsures the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards\nSupports all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees\nFollows documented processes for reporting, analyzing, and following up on employee injuries and accidents.\nEnsures employees complete a daily pre-flight and reviews daily\nBasic Qualifications\n1 or more years of experience working in warehouse, highly automated, e-commerce environments preferred\nWorking knowledge of google suite\nWorking knowledge of WMS systems\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations\nDedicated, hard working and quick learner \nGood communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment involving quickly changing priorities and ability to handle stressful situations\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience approving payroll time\nBasic knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment\nForklift certified\nUnderstanding of performance metrics, process improvement, 5S and Lean tools\nBilingual: English/Spanish\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours\nRegular bending, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head\nWarehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation \nRequired to work and walk at elevated heights, using fall protection equipment.\nFrequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access necessary equipment.\nOccasionally required to smell, using odors to determine process or equipment problems. \nRegularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally be required to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. \nCompensation\n$75,000 - $90,000 a year\nThe above range is the salary range.
