Your role will be instrumental in building and sustaining Nine's competitive advantage through data, as you'll focus on the full development and maintenance lifecycle of innovative data products. This critical work directly empowers our business to create unique, actionable insights, which are essential for driving strategy and maximising our ad revenue.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign and implement data models that align with business needs.\n\nDevelop and maintain reliable data pipelines (ETL) to load and transform data from various sources into data warehouses.\n\nEnsure pipelines are scalable and efficient, considering factors like data volume, velocity, and variety.\n\nImplement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain accurate data.\n\nSet up monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.\n\nPerform root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions.\n\nContribute to the technical design and vision for the data platform.\n\nExplore new AI technologies and methods to enhance value delivery across Data Engineering workflows.\n\nWhat you’ll bring:\nStrong programming ability in at least one language (e.g., Python).\n\nProficiency in SQL.\n\nData Modeling experience, including the application of abstract concepts in an enterprise environment.\n\nProven experience designing and building data pipelines, ETL processes, and managing data infrastructure.\n\nExperience delivering workflow orchestration solutions and managing task dependencies using a tool like Apache Airflow.\n\nA strong analytical mindset, a passion for tackling complex technical challenges, and the ability to find creative solutions to issues.\n\nDesirable:\nA bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software/Data Engineering, Data Science, IT, or a related field.\n\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure, including their data storage, processing, and analytics services.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud deployment and test automation using a CI/CD solution (e.g., Cloud Build, Dagger, or Concourse).\n\nExperience in deploying cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.\n\nExperience leveraging AI to deliver Data Engineering solutions.\n\nAdditional Information\nHow we work\nAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
