Reporting directly to the News Director, you will drive high-impact coverage across television broadcast, digital and social platforms. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to serve the South Australian community while contributing compelling content to local news broadcasts.\nDay to day you will:\nIdentify, research and break exclusive stories that set the daily South Australian news agenda.\nBuild and maintain a trusted network of high-level contacts across all sides of politics.\nProduce high-quality television news reports while simultaneously filing digital-first copy and social assets.\nDeliver calm, authoritative and accurate live crosses from the field and in the studio.\nCollaborate constructively with newsroom colleagues under tight deadlines to maintain top production standards.\nRepresent the 9News Adelaide brand with professionalism both on-air and across digital platforms.\nWhat you'll bring:\nA degree in Journalism or equivalent practical industry experience.\nDemonstrated experience reporting within a fast-paced television newsroom.\nA proven track record in reporting and cultivating high-level contacts to deliver exclusive stories.\nExceptional broadcast presentation skills with the ability to think critically during live breaking news.\nProficiency in digital publishing and social media storytelling alongside television production.\nSound knowledge of South Australia’s parliament, media law, legal compliance and journalistic ethics.\nVideo editing skills are considered an advantage.\nAdditional Information\nHow we work\nAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
