You will help build the technology that powers seamless and engaging experiences for millions of users across trusted brands like 9Now, Stan, The Sydney Morning Herald, Good Food, and The Australian Financial Review.\nDay to day you will:\nDeliver sprint engineering tasks with autonomy and take ownership of squad issues to drive positive outcomes.\nAssist team members in developing solution designs and identify new techniques or technologies beneficial to the squad.\nActively improve squad-level practices, tools, and standards while helping other engineers elevate the quality and security of their solutions.\nWork effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers while clearly communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and documenting design decisions.\nCollaborate to solve complex problems, ensuring unresolved issues are clearly communicated and captured in the backlog.\nQualifications\nWhat you’ll bring:\nProven experience building multiple systems and delivering complete, end-to-end solutions.\nStrong competence in core backend and frontend technologies (e.g., .NET, Oracle, GoLang, JS, React) with the ability to work autonomously.\nHands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and a solid understanding of architectural patterns.\nA track record of implementing improvements to engineering tools and team processes.\nClear communication skills to explain technical decisions and concepts to non-technical colleagues, paired with a proactive approach to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.\nAdditional Information\nHow we work\nAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
