Software Engineer - Python

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help shape product and marketing strategies by processing, analyzing, and interpreting data sets. You will work closely with the tech, product, and business teams to design and develop a scalable application architecture based on business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection as per industry standards.
• Monitor the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
• Coordinate with the product team to understand requirements and prepare detailed technical documentation.
• Work with the team to ensure architecture and technical approaches are aligned with broader engineering goals.
• Assist and mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in software development; experience in a product-based startup is preferred.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Python and Django or Flask.
• Proficient knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of fundamental design principles for building scalable applications.
• Experience with automated testing platforms and unit testing.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• At least 2 years of experience working on AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, SQS, ElastiCache, and API Gateway.
• Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKS) and cluster orchestration.
• Experience working on high-traffic applications and designing architectures that can support them.
