NISC has been ranked in ComputerWorld’s Best Places to Work for 23 years, and we are looking for qualified individuals to join our team. \n**Current applications submitted will be under consideration for Summer 2027 (May-August)**\nEssential Functions\nTroubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop operating system issues, including:Join PCs to Windows domains.\nInstall and troubleshoot NISC software on customer PCs.\nVirus and/or spyware removal.\nUtilize remote connectivity tools such as Remote Desktop to assist with support items.\n\nCreate and test printers on Windows and Linux servers.\nProvide customer phone support as part of an ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) environment.\nMonitor Windows and Linux servers via Xymon monitoring tools.\nLog and develop action plans for support issues identified by Xymon.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong customer orientation.\nRelated coursework and general understanding of Windows desktop operating systems.\nRelated coursework and general understanding of Linux and Windows servers and operating systems.\nRelated coursework and general understanding of TCP/IP networks\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong verbal and written, interpersonal, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, as well as in a team environment.\nAbility to effectively adapt to change.\nAbility to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts.\nAbility to convey technical solutions to both technical and non-technical users.\nAbility to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and confidentiality.\nCommitment to NISC's Statement of Shared Values.\nDesired Education and/or Certification(s)\nHigh School diploma or equivalency required\nPursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or a related field\nMinimum Physical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
