Our enterprise software solution enables our Members to compete effectively in the industry, while excelling in customer service. \nPosition Overview: \nImplementing NISC’s Provisioning application - this provides provisioning and auditing capabilities from NISC to various telephone switches, television head ends, access software, and other third-party software applications.\nThis position will work with the member/customer to effectively implement the applications. This includes working with a project manager to manage project timelines, communicating with internal and external individuals of project expectations, and configuring the application via creating or modifying the necessary interface code and applications options. It also includes analyzing the data from the member/customer’s current system to ensure that it is properly converted into the NISC software. \nWork Schedule: \nHybrid (after an initial 6 month training period) from either of these office locations: Cedar Rapids, IA\nMandan, ND \n\nHybrid Schedule: Minimum of working 3 days per week in the office and ability to work up to all 5 days a week in the office, as needed\nRequired Days from an Office Location: Tuesday and Wednesday - the third required day will be up to the candidate and their supervisor to choose \nEssential Functions: \nPerforms basic research, design and development of software systems\nUtilizes NISC best practice for specific existing device implementations\nWorks with Members on pre-sales calls to confirm standard implementation requirements\nResearches, analyzes, and resolves basic to moderately complex software maintenance\nProvides superior customer support to internal and external customers in all encounters\nParticipate in discussions involving software design\nParticipate in code reviews; utilizes code reviews to improve quality of code\nIdentify gaps in features and functionality in software and oversee resolution\nFollows all established software implementation methodologies and procedures\nPerforms quality testing as it relates to system integration dependent on the tasks assigned\nLeverage generative AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, creativity and problem-solving within the scope of the role. \nPrepare and complete implementation documents\nAssists customers in all aspects of implementation including troubleshooting, training, and on-going support\nReviews and prioritizes assigned change requests\nOther duties as assigned\nCommitment to NISC’s Statement of Shared Values \nDesired Job Experience: \nStrong customer orientation\nBasic knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows\nExcellent research and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail\nExcellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills\nFamiliarity with Java\nAbility to organize and prioritize\nAbility to work independently, as well as in a team environment\nAbility to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts\nBasic programming skills required\nFamiliarity with programming concepts such as expect4j, XML, SOAP, REST, etc.\nFamiliarity with Application Programming Interfaces (API)\nFamiliarity with .XSLT scripting and/or AWK scripting\nCommitment to NISC’s Statement of Shared Values \nDesired Education: \nBachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, or related field. \nMinimum Physical Requirements: \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
