This position would be on our iVUE Connect Service Development team, which is NISC's solution providing functionality to support and enhance the business processes performed by customer service representatives in the billing department, such as reviewing the details of a customer's recent bill, adding charges to the customer's account, enrolling the customer in a billing program (e.g. budget or prepaid billing), adjusting a customer's bill, among many others. \nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign and build responsive web applications\nStand up RESTful web services\nContainer-driven development (Kubernetes, microservices)\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to research, design, and implement new features\nResearch, analyze, and resolve moderately complex customer issues and bugs\nLeverage generative AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, creativity, and problem-solving within the scope of the role.\nUnit test and integration test code as needed\nFollow all established software development methodologies and procedures\nOther duties as assigned \nDesired Experience and Skills:\nGenerally, requires 1+ years’ experience in software development\nProficient with Angular, or other Typescript web application frameworks\n Java or other object-oriented programming experienceExperience with GWT, is a plus\n\nExperience with RDBMS (Postgres, SQL, Oracle)\nExperience with cloud technology stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, SSO, Cassandra)\nProficient in developing responsive content\nUnderstanding of core web development principles (patterns, architecture, IDEs)\nExperience with asynchronous workflows/patterns\nWorking knowledge of web trends, architecture, and deployment patterns\nExperience with Git, including branching/merging workflows\nExperience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo\nExperience integrating AI capabilities into software development workflows\nFamiliarity with frameworks and tools for building AI-powered applications\nUnderstanding of prompt engineering and familiarity with utilizing generative AI tools to improve productivity.\nCommitment to NISC’s Statement of Shared Values \nWork Schedule: \nHybrid from one of our office locations: Cedar Rapids, IA\nLake Saint Louis, MO\nMandan, ND \n\nHybrid Schedule: Minimum of working 3 day per week out of an office location and ability to work up to all 5 days a week from an office location.\nRequired Days from an Office Location: Tuesday and Wednesday - the third required day will be up to the candidate and their supervisor to choose \nNISC’s Shared Values & Competencies: \nWe’re a cooperative, which means we’re owned by the Members we serve.
