The Captain conducts preflight inspections; researches departure, en route, and destination weather for suitability to the intended operation; performs aircraft weight and balance computations and performance calculations; and determines whether all are within manufacturer limitations, applicable regulations, and company policies.\nThe Captain files flight plans for all flights and ensures all required aircraft and passenger forms are completed and applicable filing and notification requirements are met. The Captain has a limited supervisory role over other flight crew operating similar makes and models and may be qualified in multiple company aircraft.
