Hydranautics membrane-based solutions are currently in use on seven continents throughout the world for diverse applications such as seawater desalination, industrial high-purity water, surface water treatment, waste water treatment and specialty process applications.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nUnder senior leadership, prepare financial forecast and monthly budget reports; analyze financial actual results against the budget to revise forecast for budgetary control, including payroll analysis and Fixed Cost analysis for budget control. Collaborate with the General Accounting Team in Lease Accounting, Impairment Test, Fixed Asset management, Inventory Valuation (Lower Cost or Net Realizable Value) and Cost Accounting (Standard Costing Allocation update). Participate and contribute to the Internal Control administration (NIMS, J-SOX, Salesforce), as well as Contract Management across the organization.\nESSENTIAL DUTIESand/orRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPreparesmonthlyfinancial analytical reportof actual vs. budget as well as with the preparation of financial budget and financial forecasts. Itemizes data and statistical information, including budget reconciliations. \nMeets with responsible parties in charge of budget to manage actual vs. budget variance analysis.\n\nPrepares financial forecast (Operating Income forecast, Cash Flow forecast, etc.) and facilitates budget data compilation (annual and Shimo budget).\n\nPrepares and completes a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports and required filings. Verifies the accuracy of reports through review and analysis.\n\nContributes General Accounting Team in monthly closing by preparing analysis and journal entries in specific technical items, such as Lease Accounting, Impairment Test, Fixed Assets management, Inventory Valuation and Cost Accounting.\n\nDelivers financial analysis collaborating with various areas of the company. Communicates successfully with both internal and external customers, follow-up and follow-through on questions and discrepancies.\n\nResponds to inquiries, identifies issues, and develops solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning a variety financial data, some of which contain confidential and sensitive information, which require tact and discretion in handling.\n\nComposes, queries, and analyzes large volumes of financial data using integrated financial systems and other records management tools, including contributing to the cost accounting function within the department.\n\nLiaise with Nitto Corporate Headquarters on internal audits (NIMS Audits) providing information as necessary.\n\nContributes and participates in external audits such KPMG.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:\nN/A\n\nMINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field; and, five (5) years’ directly related experience with three (3) years’ directly related manufacturing experience, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nManufacturing and pharmaceutical industry experience, a plus.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:\nStrong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis a must, within a manufacturing environment, a plus.\n\nRobust application of critical thinking skills along with problem solving and creative skills to draft reports and materials to summarize, analyze, and justify budget programs.\n\nStrong multi-tasking skills, flexibility in responding to rapidly changing, dynamic processes and demands/pressures in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong ability to verbally communicate across functional organizational groups, provide high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution, including communicating with equipment suppliers to obtain input on equipment modification and improvement.\n\nIntermediate Microsoft Office Suite software applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and other enterprise software applications such as Net Suite, etc.\n\nAdvanced language skills with the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.\n\nWrite clear processes, manuals and reports for management review and present technical information in understandable terms and respond to questions from groups of customers, employees and/or public.\n\nWork with mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.\n\nWork independently as well as in a small and/or large group and foster cooperation in a team environment using interpersonal skills to transfer working knowledge and delegate assignments with other team members.\n\nWork in a detail-oriented environment with strong follow-through and organizational skills.\n\nCERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES:\nN/A\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS and/or WORK ENVIRONMENT:(Typical physical demands and the work environment characteristics an employee must meet and encounter while performing the essential functions of the job.
