We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time-and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible.\nAssistant Chief Engineer-Signals\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nDirects all signal maintenance, and provides cost effective maintenance which ensures safe, reliable, and efficient Rail service.\nDirects rail signal design and construction of capital projects and infrastructure improvements and programs.\nRepresents the Infrastructure Engineering Department and NJ Transit at meetings, presentations, public hearings, and Board meetings.\nDirects the management of departmental needs, including all personnel related matters. Provides direction to subordinates and establishes safety guidelines for work practices and procedures.\nRecommends standards for signal construction and maintenance.
