We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time-and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Building and Bridges Mechanic performs a variety of tasks including carpentry, masonry, and steel work.\nDuties include but are not limited to:\nRepair and construct a variety of structures.\n\nMix concrete, mortar, pour and finish concrete.\n\nInstall temporary supports and scaffolding.\n\nRig steel for installation or removal.\n\nPerform light running repairs to assigned vehicles.\n\nInspect vehicles daily for safety and damage.\n\nMaintain a safe work environment.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nBASIC REQUIREMENTS:\nQualified candidates must be able to:\nDemonstrate carpentry, steel, and masonry ability.\n\nWork effectively under pressure and in all weather conditions.\n\nDemonstrate ability to communicate well with others at all levels.\n\nUnderstand and know standard construction policies.\n\nHave mathematical and mechanical aptitude.\n\nRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.\n\nSuccessfully pass background, drug screening and physical.\n\nProvide a valid Driver's License and clean driving history.\n\nPossess a high school diploma or GED.\n\nWork Location:\nHoboken, Raritan, Summit, Per Diem.\n\nThis is a unionized position.\n\nRate of pay:\nThe pay rates are tiered and are non-negotiable.
