We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time-and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible.\nSummary: Mechanic B-Electrical Shop Electricians conduct general and specialized installation, maintenance, and repair on various types of electrical equipment.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nMust present one of the following: New Jersey Electrical License, Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship Electrician from the NJ Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship OR five (5) years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial and/or residential environments.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documents, wiring diagrams, schematics, construction drawings, etc.\nExperience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.\nMust pass New Jersey Transit’s Electrician Aptitude Test.\nPresent a valid driver’s license and High School Diploma or GED.\nSuccessfully pass the pre-screening process including drug test, physical, and criminal, employer, and driving background checks.\nEducation, Experience, and Qualifications:\nInstalling low or medium voltage equipment, panels, motors, controls, etc.\nInstallation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems, PLC’s, Controllers, Computers, Alarms, PA’s, etc.\nTest equipment such as multi-meters, insulation testing, phasing, etc.\nUsing and understanding code requirements, including NEC, NESC, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA, etc.\nPrior railroad, transportation, or military experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nStoop, bend, crawl, balance, climb, kneel\nBe exposed to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis\nWear protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, and safety-toe boots\nWork Location:\nMultiple locations and must be willing to work in Morrisville, PA\nThis is a Unionized position.\nRate of pay:\nThe pay rates are tiered and are non-negotiable based on years and types of experience. Tiers start at $29.11 (80% of the full rate).
