Applyherethrough the Internal Jobs Hub.\nTitle:\nHourly Data Analyst - Economic DevelopmentDepartment:\nAssociate ProfessorReports To:\nProfessorPosition Summary:\nThe Hourly Data Analyst - Economic Impact Evaluation will support a grant-funded project conducted in collaboration with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). The selected candidate will assist with data collection, analysis, economic impact assessments, and preparation of a report required under the New Jersey Economic Recovery Act (NJERA) legislation. This position is ideal for an individual with experience in data analysis, program evaluation, public policy, economics, or economic development research who can work independently and manage project tasks with limited supervision.\nEssential Functions:\nCollect, organize, and analyze program and economic data.\nAssist with economic impact assessments and related research activities.\nSupport the evaluation of economic development programs and initiatives.\nConduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis.\nPrepare tables, charts, summaries, and supporting documentation.\nContribute to the development of findings, conclusions, and recommendations.\nAssist with preparation of the final report required under NJERA legislation.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.\nMaintain project records and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.\nPrerequisite Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.\nExperience with data collection, management, and analysis.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard data analysis tools.\nMinimum of five years of project management and evaluation experience.\nMinimum of two years of experience using IMPLAN software.\nExperience assessing governmental economic development programs.\nExperience with data collection and analysis of NJEDA programs.\nStrong written communication and technical writing skills.\nAbility to organize information, manage deadlines, and work independently.\nAt the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be waived where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience that specifically prepares the candidate for success in the position.\nCompensation: $35-$50/hour\nEssential Functions:\nPre-Requisite Qualifications:\nCompensation:\nAt the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.\nRange:\nHourly EmployeesNJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
