Safely supporting mobile high-voltage testing worldwide

Would you like to work in a technical role that makes a direct contribution to the quality and reliability of high-voltage cable systems? As a Mobile Test Equipment Technician (m/f/d), you will be part of an international environment, supporting testing activities both nationally and internationally. You will work with advanced test setups, support high-voltage testing operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes as well as the energy transition.

Install and maintain mobile high-voltage test systems

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining mobile high-voltage test systems. You will work closely with test engineers to ensure that testing activities are carried out safely, reliably, and in accordance with defined procedures. In addition, you will support maintenance activities, special testing assignments, and various tasks within the test field and installation environment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Independently set up mobile test configurations, including safety circuits
  • Prepare test objects and cables for high-voltage testing
  • Dismantle test setups and store equipment properly after testing
  • Maintain and service test instruments and mobile testing equipment
  • Support special tests, repair activities, and test field operations
  • Support assembly and installation work

The role includes assignments both within Germany and internationally. You will work closely with test engineers and colleagues at testing locations, storage facilities, and assembly areas.

Technically minded team player with a hands-on approach

You work in a reliable, careful, and safety-conscious manner. You are well organized, take responsibility for your work, and are willing to take on new challenges. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, approach problems pragmatically, and are open to national and international travel assignments.

In addition, you bring:

  • Completed vocational training in an electrical field
  • Experience working with and setting up technical equipment
  • Knowledge of assembly, installation, or test field activities
  • Experience using measurement and testing devices
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business trips (national and international)
  • Understanding of occupational safety and technical work processes
  • Class B driver's license or, ideally, a Class CE driver's license

Contributing to the energy transition through high-voltage testing

We aim to create a workplace where people from diverse backgrounds feel valued, supported, and able to reach their full potential. We are actively committed to increasing gender diversity at NKT and welcome applications from people with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. Even if you do not meet every requirement, we strongly encourage you to apply. We believe that diverse teams contribute to better results and a positive working environment.

You will join an international working environment with a wide range of development opportunities. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will continuously develop both your technical and personal skills while gaining exposure to a variety of projects related to high-voltage testing and energy infrastructure. This position involves working primarily at national and international client sites. A corresponding willingness to travel, as well as flexibility regarding the duration and location of assignments, are required.
