As a fast-growing company, we are helping power the future of AI, cloud and digital innovation across Europe.\nLearn more about us: www.nlighten.com\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Director of IT Services to own a lean, secure and consistent employee technology service across nLighten’s European business.\nThe role covers service desk, user support, devices, Microsoft 365, identity, access, licences and relevant suppliers. You will be the primary operational owner for end-user security and controls, manage the IT Services budget and ensure new technology transitions effectively into business-as-usual support.\nKey Responsibilities\nIT Service & Employee Technology\nOwn day-to-day internal IT services across countries and locations, with clear standards and escalation routes.\nLead service desk activity and use service data to improve user experience, reliability and efficiency.\nOwn workplace technology, devices, assets, licences and lifecycle controls.\nMaintain consistent operational procedures, documentation and service performance measures.\nIdentity, Access & Security\nOwn operational identity, access and permission controls, including joiner, mover and leaver processes.\nSet access standards across Microsoft 365 and employee technology services.\nPartner with Technology colleagues and security specialists to implement controls and respond to risks or incidents.\nSupport endpoint protection, security awareness, audit and compliance requirements.\nDelivery, Commercial & Leadership\nEnsure IT Services requirements and operational readiness are built into Technology & Data initiatives.\nOwn the IT Services budget, procurement, licences and supplier performance within agreed governance.\nIdentify opportunities to consolidate suppliers and improve value for money.\nLead and develop the IT Support Specialist capability and communicate service performance and risks clearly.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n6+ years’ experience in IT service management, IT operations or end-user technology, including leadership.\nStrong Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and Active Directory experience, including devices, identity, access and permissions.\nExperience operating IT services across multiple sites and European countries.\nGood knowledge of incident, request, problem and change disciplines.\nExperience with asset lifecycle, licensing, procurement and supplier management.\nProven enterprise IT cybersecurity experience, including endpoint security, access governance and audits.\nStrong user focus balanced with security, standardisation, control and cost.\nA collaborative leader who stays hands on with practical infrastructure and service issues.\nFluent English; additional European languages are advantageous.\nWhy Join Us?\nJoin a fast-growing European data centre platform shaping the future of digital infrastructure.\nWork with experienced colleagues across multiple European markets in a collaborative, international environment.\nTake meaningful ownership and help nLighten scale with precision, accountability and continuous improvement.\nIf you have the right experience and are excited about contributing to the next evolution of edge data centres, we’d love to hear from you.
