The Application Engineer Associate is expected to obtain knowledge and apply learned knowledge on related products, business processes, and sales practices.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBusinessDevelopment -InconjunctionwiththeAccountManagers, support effortstoidentifyand penetrate newaccounts in target markets, qualify new accounts and opportunities, and secure new business.\nRelationship Development/Communications-External -Visit customers regularly,eitherindependentlyorwith AccountManagers, forinteractive customer engineering discussions.\nDesign Recommendations - Understand customerapplication, definecustomer technical requirements, identifypotentialNMB motortechnologies andproducts, and reviewtrade-offstopropose the best possiblesolution.\nProduct Development -Lead the development of custom motor solutions and coordinate technical activities betweencustomer engineeringand international NMBengineeringgroups.Track customer schedules and set realistic expectationsforNMBdeliverables.Ensure successful developmentthroughfinal approval and transition into production.\nSampleEvaluation-Managesampledevelopmentandevaluationcycle.Ensure\nthatsamples meetingcustomerrequirementsaredeliveredontime, collect results fromcustomerevaluationin atimely manner, andfeedbacktoNMBengineering. Coordinatefailure analysis investigation of samples and implementdesign improvementsas necessary.\nProductDocumentation- Issueproductdocumentation(technical drawings, specifications, data sheets, catalogs) as required.\nReportingCommunicationsInternal/External-Providetimelyandfrequent\nwrittenandverbal reporting on customer interactionand development statusfor opportunities (including timely reporting in SalesForce.com).\nTechnicalResearch & Reporting - Gatherinformation on customer technical roadmaps and general industry technical trends,consolidate and analyze information,andreportsummary information andrecommendations toproduct management on a timely and regular basis.\nMonthlyReporting- Prepareand submitamonthly summary activityreport to the supervisor.\nTravel-Travelrequired upto30%;majoritywillbedomesticwithsome international.\nOther-Performotherdutiesasrelatedtothejobfunctions such as NPI, data sheets, and others,as required.\nJOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:\nBachelor's Degree inEngineering or relatedfieldrequired; Electromechanical Engineering preferred.\nEntry level or less than 3 years of general work experience.\nProficiency withMicrosoft OfficeSuite(Word,Excel,and PowerPoint) is required; Basic 3D modeling (especiallySolidWorks), is preferred.\nExcellentwrittenandverbalcommunication/presentationskillsare essential.\nBusiness-levelspeakingis aplus in one of the following languages depending on business needs:\nJapanese\nSpanish\nFluencyinreadingandwritingis aplus in one of the following languages depending on business needs:\nJapanese\nSpanish\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:\nNo Supervisory qualifications are required for this position.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nA normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.\nSALARY\nAt NMB, the pay band for this role is between $69,608.00 and $104,412.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
