This role partners with internal stakeholders and headquarters in Japan to ensure reliable financial data, strengthen reporting processes, and provide analysis that supports budgeting, forecasting, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead month-end close activities, including transmission of North American trial balances to headquarters in Japan.\nCollaborate with Finance team members to prepare quarterly audit packages.\nSupport implementation of the Infor financial system, including process coordination, testing support, and issue follow-up as needed.\nPerform monthly post-close financial analysis and conduct SG&A analytics to support budget and forecast requests.\nSupport ad hoc projects and requests as needed.\nOccasional domestic travel as needed (less than 10%)\nJOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:\nEducation: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.\nExperience:\nMinimum of three years of public accounting experience; Big Four experience preferred.\nMinimum of two years of corporate accounting or financial reporting experience; automotive industry experience preferred.\nActive CPA required\nInfor ERP system experience a plus\nExperience with data analytics and AI-enabled automation in financial reporting or financial analysis highly preferred.\nFP&A experience a plus\n Skills:\nProficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace; SAP experience preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting\nExcellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks under pressure\nAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and build trustworthy business partnerships.\nKnowledge of accounting principles and practices (IFRS preferred)\nDemonstrated problem solving skills with a strong sense of curiosity\nSelf-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage change and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.\nProven track record of operational excellence\nCollaborative team player with a willingness to support shared Finance team goals.\nDemonstrates sound judgment, accountability, and ownership of deliverables, with the ability to influence constructively and collaborate effectively across teams.\nHigh emotional intelligence, professionalism, and interpersonal maturity when working with cross-functional partners, auditors, headquarters, and senior leadership.\nContinuous improvement orientation with the ability to identify process gaps, recommend practical solutions, and contribute to efficient Finance team workflows.\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:\nNo direct supervisory responsibility is required for this position. The ideal candidate should demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders. The role may evolve over time based on business needs, individual capability, and organizational structure.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe employee must be able to sit and stand for a normal amount of time, move around an office with average mobility, and conduct a normal amount of work on a computer. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, and lift to 10 pounds.\nSALARY\nAt NMB, the pay band for this role is between $78,178.00 and $117,267.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
