Specialty practice may be defined by population, clinical setting a disease/medical subspecialty and type of care or type of problem.\n\nBe a role model and always seek to improve the safety and quality of care delivered to patients in the specialist field.\n\nBe a member of the interprofessional team as a subject matter expert in his/ her field of specialization.\n\nSupport and lead audit and data collection in their area of specialisation for KPIs and benchmarking.\n\nSupport the nurse educator with training programs, training needs analysis within the specialised field.\n\nSupport patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.\n\nAssess and identify patients' needs and implement and monitor the patient's medical plan and treatment.\n\nPerform systematic patient assessment, re-assessment and collect pertinent data about the patient’s health or situation.\n\nUnderstand and analyse the assessment information and data.\n\nDetermine actual and potential nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues.\n\nDefine the predicted and expected outcomes of the patient’s planned care.\n\nCreate and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team, in collaboration with the patient and patient's bystanders.\n\nMaintain and update technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice.\n\nEmploy strategies to promote patients’ health and a safe environment.\n\nUnderstand different diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations.\n\nPerform essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope such as but not limited to Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation etc.\n\nAssist in medical procedures invasive or non-invasive as needed.\n\nSupport the process of safe patient`s admission, transfer and discharge.\n\nResponsible for the competent physical documented assessment (using all sources to hand including observation and communication) and subsequent preparation of appropriate treatment for a patient's skin care needs based on good clinical knowledge, experience, and consultation with a Dermatologist/Physician\n\nResponsible for the trained and competent use of Laser machines for the purpose of hair removal as recognized by the certification of the Dermatologists in NMC.\n\nProvides up-to-date and sanctioned knowledge and empathic support for clients who wish to, or those who need to undergo hair removal treatment (including permanent, hair reduction, laser skin resurfacing and vascular lesions with the Dermatologist). This may include laser tattoo removal\n\nThe treatment and care of skin pre and post procedure and surgery including the identification of wounds, types and stages of healing and the necessity of informing and working with medical practitioners should the case indicate\n\nThe treatment and care of facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance, including understanding about the sun and its effect on the skin.\n\nThe provision, based on competence, of pain relief and stress reduction and anxiety reduction techniques prior to procedures provided by a dermatologist\n\nEnsures timely and accurate documentation of all procedures including detailed informed consents, and patient education regarding equipment and skin care protocols\n Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority with all the qualifications and experience these mandates.\n\nHold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.\n\nHold a post-graduate specialist qualification, diploma, degree, or masters in the specialty.\n\nManage their own professional re-licensure.\n\nBe willing to work across departments when necessary.\n\nBe able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)\n\nHave previous experience within the specialist field.\n\nHave completed the relevant competencies within the specialist
