presence.\nThis is a strategic, stakeholder-facing role responsible for driving proactive PR, corporate communications, media relations, leadership positioning and reputation management across NMIMS’s diverse schools and campuses.\nDesignation\nMarketing Manager\nDepartment\nMarketing & PR\nLocation\nMumbai\nReporting to\nDirector Marketing\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the PR & Corporate Communications strategy aligned with NMIMS’s institutional and brand priorities.\n\nBuild and nurture strong relationships with national, business, education, regional and sector-specific media.\n\nDrive high-quality earned media, proactive storytelling and strategic media opportunities.\n\nDevelop and strengthen leadership and spokesperson positioning through interviews, expert commentary, authored articles and thought-leadership opportunities.\n\nIdentify and amplify compelling stories around academics, research, innovation, faculty, student achievements, industry partnerships, rankings and institutional milestones.\n\nPartner with schools and campuses to create a strong and consistent institutional communications agenda.\n\nLead issues and crisis communication, including preparedness, response and reputation management.\n\nManage the University’s external PR partner, ensuring strategic alignment, quality execution and measurable outcomes.\n\nManage and mentor the existing internal PR resource and build an effective PR operating rhythm.\n\nTrack media performance, share of voice, competitive intelligence and PR impact, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.\n\nWork closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across the University.\n\nEducational Qualifications\nFull-time MBA in Marketing or equivalent.\n\nProfessional Experience\nMinimum 7 years of experience in PR, Corporate Communications, Reputation Management or a related field.\n\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong understanding of the Indian media ecosystem and established journalist relationships.\n\nDemonstrated experience in media relations, strategic PR and thought leadership.\n\nExperience working with senior leadership and managing multiple stakeholders.\n\nStrong experience in managing external PR agencies and driving accountability.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling ability.\n\nAbility to handle sensitive issues with maturity, discretion and sound judgement.\n\nExperience managing or mentoring a team.\n\nPrior experience in higher education, education, corporate, technology, BFSI, media or other reputation-sensitive sectors will be an advantage.\n\nThe Opportunity\nJoin NMIMS and play a key role in shaping the University’s institutional
