Performs preventive maintenance, manages AV inventory, ensures compliance with safety standards, and reports daily operations to the Maintenance Head.\nDesignation\nSound Operator cum Electrician\nDepartment\nAdministration\nLocation\nNavi Mumbai\nReporting to\nMaintenance Officer\nKey Responsibilities\nSound & Audio-Visual Operations\nOperate and troubleshoot issues related to microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers installed in classrooms and Auditoriums.\nCheck the sound systems in classrooms, seminar halls, and auditoriums.\nEnsure seamless functioning of projectors, screens, and digital walls. \nConduct sound checks and troubleshoot technical issues and resolve the same.\nCarry out routine maintenance and timely repair of sound systems, projectors, lighting, wiring, and auditorium equipment.\nReplace batteries/cells of microphones and other portable devices as required.\nEnsure the control panel, lighting system, and electrical connections are in good working condition.\nMaintain the auditorium infrastructure including chairs, curtains, and other fixtures to ensure readiness for events.\nProvide technical support for internal and external events, including conferences, guest lectures, and cultural programs.\nCoordinate with faculty, staff, and event organizers to understand requirements and deliver reliable AV solutions.\nMaintain an inventory of audio-visual equipment and ensure timely procurement of spares and consumables.\nAdhere to electrical and safety standards while handling and maintaining equipment.\nReport and resolve potential hazards related to sound and lighting equipment.\nMaintain proper documentation of service schedules, maintenance records, and equipment usage.\nMaintenance & Upkeep\nEvent & Technical Support\nSafety & Compliance\nEducational Qualification\nDiploma/Certification in Sound Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electrician is required.\n\nProfessional Certifications\nCertification in Sound Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Maintenance, or related technical field (preferred).\n\nProfessional Experience\nMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting sound systems, PA systems, projectors, lighting, and other audio-visual equipment.
