Conducts preventive maintenance in accordance with established schedules. Includes test runs, repairs and logging equipment.\nAbility to interpret blueprints and evaluates code compliance involving electrical installations, modifications, and HVAC maintenance.\nChecks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.\nOrders new HVAC parts, supplies and equipment. Maintains appropriate inventories.\nResponsible for locating and adjusting defects in HVAC systems. Locates and repairs power outages/shortages as required.\nPerforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Uses skill and care in the use of tools and materials used in the refrigeration and electrical trade.\nMonitors UPS Units (Battery back-up power/Test/monitor/log/respond to problems)\nPerforms general maintenance, as needed (respond/repair/log building problems i.e., door hardware, replace burned out bulbs, and unclog toilets/sinks).\nMay perform other duties as assigned\nOther Job Functions:\nAdhere to Electrical and Refrigeration Codes.\nAssists with any Emergency (Fire/Medical) situations within the facility.\nPerforms work as requested by Management.\nSkills, Education and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or relevant experience.\nMinimum 1-3 years of HVAC repair / maintenance experience.\nAbility to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks.\nAbility to use various testing devices related to the electrical and mechanical trades.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment. \nMust have a current valid driver’s license.\nMust have a current license for the appropriate trade.\nSalary Range Language\nThe expected rate for this position ranges from $38 to $43 hourly. The actual hourly rate will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
