The specialist will be responsible for transforming complex, messy data into clear insights that support key decisions in enrollment, scheduling and student success. We are looking for a creative problem solver who is detail-oriented, project focused and has the proven expertise to clean, analyze and visualize data that drives meaningful outcomes for stakeholders.\n\nThis position is ideal for the individual who is energized by data-driven problem solving and solutioning, seeking a career in data engineering. The ideal candidate will have solid analytical ability to develop logic and discover data anomalies, confidently communicating technical concepts to both highly technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\nDevelop and execute ad hoc queries to support quick-turnaround analytics requests, performing data discovery, schema analysis, and multi-table joins for dashboard development.\nDesign and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and SQL to communicate findings and facilitate data-driven decision-making.\nConduct data profiling and anomaly detection to identify data quality issues and generate recommendations for data governance initiatives.\nDocument data definitions, locations, and relationships for the data catalog, supporting data governance and business analysis efforts.\nDevelop slide decks and presentations to communicate data governance guidance and analytical findings to clients and cross-functional stakeholders.\nWork independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics into business processes and applications.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nship is required.\nActive Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI polygraph. \nMust have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 1+ years of experience OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience OR Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience OR High school diploma/GED with 9+ years of experience.\nDeveloping programmatic solutions to aggregate data with tools like SQL, Python and Syntasa.\nAbility to bring together multiple data sources, create views and joins with performance optimized query logic. \nBuilding, updating, and maintaining Tableau dashboards.\nValidating data and dashboards for accuracy and consistency.\nManaging access requests and ensure data security compliance.\nDocumenting your work clearly and keep JIRA tasks up to date.\nCollaborating with stakeholders to gather project requirements.\nProposing and implementing workflow efficiencies (e.g., programming shortcuts, automation).\nContributing to data dictionaries and shared documentation.\nProviding technical mentorship to teammates.\nDeveloping data governance recommendations and guidance.\n\nTravel up to 10% within US.\n\nLift up to 30 lbs, walk, bend, drive.\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\nDegrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science or related field. \nProficiency in Excel and other visualization tools.\nExperience cleaning and documenting data sets.\nStrong attention to detail and able to recognize repetitive tasks that could be automated.\nTeam player with clear communication skills.\nCritical thinker who takes initiative and \"fails forward.\"\nPortfolio or examples of dashboards/analysis work.\nFamiliarity with programming (R) for automation, GitHub, and higher-ed data.\n\nOverview\n\nOverview\n\nNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI and Noblis MSD, take on some of the nation's toughest challenges, delivering advanced solutions to our customers' most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
