This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, posting, and reconciliation of reimbursement payments and related financial transactions.\nThe ideal candidate has experience in medical billing or health insurance and brings exceptional attention to detail when working with payments, adjustments, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and financial records. This individual will work closely with Billing & Collections, Finance, and Accounting to ensure payments are accurately recorded, discrepancies are resolved, and financial information remains complete and reliable.\n This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Pleasanton, CA, requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week. The role may be filled either as a regular full-time position or as a full-time temporary-to-hire opportunity, depending on business needs and candidate experience. Candidates hired on a temporary basis will be considered for conversion to regular full-time employment based on performance, business needs, and continued role availability.\nResponsibilities\nAccurately post reimbursement payments, contractual adjustments, denials, and other payment-related transactions to patient accounts\nReview EOBs and other payer documentation to ensure payments, adjustments, and claim statuses are accurately recorded\nReconcile daily bank deposits, ACH transactions, credit card payments, and other payment activity against billing system transaction reports\nInvestigate and resolve misapplied payments, unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and other reconciliation issues\nProcess virtual payment cards and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled\nOrganize and distribute payment checks, virtual payment information, and related documentation to Accounting and Billing team members for appropriate processing\nRetrieve, scan, upload, and appropriately distribute incoming payer claims correspondence and reimbursement documentation\nMaintain accurate patient, payment, claim, and reimbursement information within billing and patient documentation systems\nGenerate payment and reconciliation reports for management review\nPartner with Finance and Accounting to investigate and resolve payment or reconciliation discrepancies\nSupport month-end close activities by providing payment reconciliation, reporting, and supporting documentation\nAssist with discrepancies identified by Finance or Accounting during month-end close and reconciliation activities\nMaintain organized and complete documentation to support payment processing, reconciliation, and audit readiness\nAssist with billing compliance initiatives, regulatory inspections, audits, and related documentation requests\nIdentify recurring payment discrepancies or process issues and escalate trends and opportunities for improvement\nCollaborate with Billing & Collections, Finance, Accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues\nHandle patient and reimbursement information in accordance with HIPAA, applicable billing regulations, insurance requirements, and company policies\nMaintain a high degree of accuracy and productivity while managing multiple payment and administrative workflows in a fast-paced environment\nRequirements\n1+ year of experience in a medical billing office, healthcare reimbursement, health insurance, revenue cycle, or related healthcare environment\nExperience processing or posting medical reimbursement payments, adjustments, or related financial transactions\nFamiliarity with medical billing systems and healthcare reimbursement workflows\nExperience reviewing insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and contractual adjustments\nUnderstanding of payment reconciliation and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies\nStrong Microsoft Excel or spreadsheet skills\nHigh degree of accuracy in data entry and financial calculations\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with high-volume financial and patient information\nStrong organizational and administrative skills\nUnderstanding of HIPAA and applicable healthcare privacy requirements\nAbility to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with Billing, Finance, Accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with NikoHealth, Brightree, or similar medical billing and revenue cycle systems\nExperience posting and reconciling payer reimbursement payments\nExperience processing virtual payment cards, ACH transactions, checks, and credit card payments\nExperience investigating unapplied cash, misapplied payments, and payment discrepancies\nExperience supporting month-end close and reconciliation activities\nExperience generating payment or reconciliation reports\nExperience supporting healthcare billing audits, regulatory inspections, or compliance activities\nExperience within DME, medical device, or healthcare reimbursement\nExperience working within a startup or rapidly growing healthcare organization\nCompensation\nRegular Full-Time Base Pay: $50,000-$60,000 per year\nTemporary Hourly Pay: $24-$29 per hour\nAnnual Bonus Eligibility for
