The role covers cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, incident response, infrastructure automation and production security.\nThis is a deeply hands-on individual-contributor position. You should be comfortable designing infrastructure, writing automation, deploying changes, investigating production incidents and taking ownership of systems from implementation through ongoing operation.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced DevOps or SRE engineer who also possesses strong security fundamentals. You should be able to keep production systems reliable and scalable while ensuring that infrastructure, access controls, deployment processes and developer environments remain appropriately secured.\nThis role does not cover smart-contract auditing or protocol-level security reviews, which are handled by a separate internal team.\nWhat You’ll Own\nCloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering\nDesign, build and operate highly available production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.\n\nManage and improve Kubernetes clusters, networking, compute, storage, databases and other managed cloud services.\n\nBuild reusable infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code and automation.\n\nImprove the scalability, reliability, performance and cost efficiency of production systems.\n\nEstablish consistent infrastructure standards across development, staging and production environments.\n\nIdentify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, configuration issues and operational risks.\n\nEvaluate and implement new infrastructure tools where they provide clear operational value.\n\nMaintain clear documentation and runbooks for critical systems.\n\nCI/CD and Deployment Automation\nOwn and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems and deployment workflows.\n\nAutomate testing, builds, releases, environment provisioning and production deployments.\n\nImprove deployment speed and reliability while maintaining appropriate safeguards.\n\nSecure source-code repositories, build environments, automation systems and deployment credentials.\n\nImplement branch protections, approval workflows, rollback processes and deployment auditability.\n\nReview infrastructure-as-code and deployment configurations for reliability and security issues.\n\nWork closely with engineers to make deployments simple, repeatable and safe.\n\nReliability, Monitoring and Observability\nBuild and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting and observability across infrastructure and applications.\n\nDefine service-level indicators and operational metrics for critical production systems.\n\nImprove visibility into system health, application performance and infrastructure utilisation.\n\nDetect and investigate abnormal service behaviour before it becomes a major incident.\n\nReduce alert noise and ensure that operational alerts are clear and actionable.\n\nIdentify recurring production issues and implement long-term preventive improvements.\n\nConduct capacity planning and prepare systems for periods of increased activity.\n\nProduction Operations and Incident Response\nRespond to production incidents involving infrastructure, services, APIs, databases and deployment systems.\n\nLead technical investigations from initial alert through containment, diagnosis and resolution.\n\nCoordinate recovery efforts across DevOps, SRE, backend and frontend engineering.\n\nPerform root-cause analysis and lead post-incident reviews.\n\nDevelop and maintain incident-response and disaster-recovery playbooks.\n\nImprove system resilience, redundancy, backup and recovery processes.\n\nParticipate in an appropriate production support or on-call rotation.\n\nInfrastructure and Operational Security\nApply security best practices across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD and developer environments.\n\nManage IAM, service accounts, privileged access and least-privilege policies.\n\nImprove the management of credentials, secrets, API keys and deployment permissions.\n\nMonitor infrastructure and production systems for suspicious access, configuration changes and abnormal activity.\n\nIdentify exposed services, excessive permissions, insecure configurations and other infrastructure weaknesses.\n\nIntroduce network segmentation and appropriate controls around sensitive systems.\n\nStrengthen software-supply-chain security across repositories, dependencies and build environments.\n\nSupport the investigation and remediation of infrastructure or application security incidents.\n\nEstablish secure infrastructure baselines and monitor environments for deviations.\n\nEngineering Collaboration\nPartner with backend and frontend engineers to improve application deployment, reliability and performance.\n\nProvide infrastructure guidance during the design of new services and products.\n\nHelp engineers diagnose production and performance issues.\n\nReview backend architecture from an operational, scalability and security perspective.\n\nContribute to backend or DevOps code when additional engineering support adopt.\n\nRequirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEssential Experience\nAt least 7 years of hands-on experience across DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure or production engineering.\n\nStrong production experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider.\n\nDeep experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.\n\nStrong knowledge of networking, Linux systems, containers, DNS, load balancing and cloud architecture.\n\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.\n\nStrong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience building monitoring, logging, alerting and observability systems.\n\nDemonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex production incidents independently.\n\nStrong understanding of IAM, authentication, authorisation, secrets management and infrastructure security.\n\nAbility to navigate infrastructure configurations, application code, logs and distributed production systems.\n\nProficiency in at least one relevant programming or scripting language, such as Go, Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Java or Rust.\n\nStrong debugging, automation and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nAbility to operate independently in a fast-moving engineering environment.\n\nWorking knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi and exchange infrastructure.\n\nSecurity Experience Required\nThis is primarily a DevOps and production-infrastructure role, but candidates must have practical security experience, including:\nSecuring cloud and Kubernetes environments.\n\nImplementing least-privilege access controls.\n\nManaging secrets and privileged credentials.\n\nSecuring CI/CD and deployment pipelines.\n\nMonitoring systems for suspicious activity.\n\nSupporting
