This role is the person who helps it grow.\nAbout the role\nThe Community Specialist is a new full-time position on the US commercial team, sitting at the intersection of community building, grassroots organizing and partner program operations. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves people, who can earn the trust of working livestock producers, build relationships that last, and translate that trust into measurable program growth.\nYou'll help build the Nofence Community from the ground up, in person and online. That means connecting producers with nearby and like-minded users, supporting the gatherings they host themselves, coordinating events, helping shape our online community, and running the day-to-day of our ambassador program. You'll work cross-functionally with the growth, sales, marketing, customer success and product teams to expand our community footprint.\nOur principle is simple: Nofence creates the space, and producers shape it. Data will inform your work to assess community health in person and online, and where the next opportunity is, but the community is led by what our producers want. If that sounds like your kind of work, we want to hear from you.\nWhat you'll do\nCommunity Building\nIn-person and online mobilization and motivation of the passionate producers that make up Nofence's growing customer community. Recognize leaders and give producers the tools to help each other. Support local partnerships with extension services, conservation groups, and farmer networks that bring producers together.\nCommunity Events & Gatherings\nReal connections between real people happen in person. Plan and run grassroots events and represent Nofence at key conferences, managing all training, operations, and logistics behind the scenes.\nAmbassadors\nIdentify, recruit, and onboard producer ambassadors; keeping them connected, inspired, and engaged. Serve as their main point of contact while keeping program operations running smoothly.\nCommunity Insights\nUse data from across the business to identify where to focus community-building efforts. Track community health and bring direct producer feedback back to internal teams as clear, actionable recommendations.\nAbout you\nWe're looking for someone who brings genuine empathy and strong people skills, someone producers will pick up the phone for. The ideal candidate has:\nA background in grassroots organizing, or a related field. Practical experience counts as much as formal qualifications.\n\nExperience working directly with farmers, ranchers and or rural communities. You understand how they think, what they value, and how trust is built with farmers and ranchers.\n\nStrong organizational skills and comfort with data. You can manage a spreadsheet and a relationship in the same afternoon.\n\nStrong event organizing skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, especially using social media.\n\nA proactive, self-directed work style. You don't wait to be told what to do next.\n\nComfort with travel; farm visits, events big and small and team gatherings are part of the job.\n\nExperience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), Google Workspace, and basic data tracking.\n\nIdeal candidate attributes:\nKnowledge of agriculture and livestock production.\n\nExperience building or managing ambassador, affiliate, or referral programs.\n\nExperience growing or moderating an online community, forum or group.\n\nWhat We Offer\nAs a company still in an exciting early stage of growth, you'll have real ownership over your work and a direct line to the team shaping the future of Precision Livestock Management in North America. When determining salary ranges for our roles, we look at external market data and the salaries of Nofencers holding the same or similar roles. Our pay bands reflect the broad range of skills and experience levels great candidates bring to us.
