He/She will ensure regional demand is accurately reflected in the overall global planning and forecasting process. The Demand Planner will collaborate with sales, marketing and product development in order to establish a consensus forecast that enables the business to meet targeted service and inventory objectives.\nResponsibilities\nMonitor and adjust SKU level demand plan by analyzing sales trends and applying appropriate forecast modeling.\nUnderstand the product / regional dynamics including shifts in demand, seasonality, promotional activity, lifecycle planning, etc. to continually improve forecast accuracy.\nCollaborate with product development on forecast for new products, product transitions, and the phasing out of retiring products. \nWork closely with the global demand planning team and customer service organization to identify and resolve out of stock issues, focusing on minimizing shortage occurrences through data analysis and safety stock review. \nIdentify excess and obsolete inventory in order to recommend disposition.\nMonitor the sales performance of new products and develop a history that can be used as a guide for future product launches.\nUphold Nokian mission and values, and demonstrate supporting behaviors in day-to-day actions.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field. \n2 - 4 years relevant work experience; automotive industry experience a plus.\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills.\nAble to communicate complex data effectively across various organizational levels.\nProficient with MS-Office application suite; advanced / expert skill level with MS-Excel.\nPrevious experience with Relex demand forecasting software preferred.\nProfessional certification a plus (IBF-CPF, APICS-CPIM).\nCommitment to excellence, continuous improvement mindset.\nAbility to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
