This position assists in the implementation of instructional programs and works alongside a teacher to provide support and assistance in the classroom.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAssists the teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional materials; \nWorks with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher; \nProvides additional support to students with diverse learning needs; \nMonitors and manages student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and other school settings; \nAssists with student transitions between activities and locations; \nEnsures a safe and inclusive environment for all students; \nAssists teacher in administering, scoring, and recording achievement and diagnostic tests; \nImplements program under direction of teachers; operates audio-visual equipment; uses variety of learning materials.
