We seek a candidate that is self-inspired to learn and demonstrates a high degree of customer service while positively contributing to our team.\nThis hands-on role safely provided quality electrical knowledge and skills to build projects that meet customer and Nomad specifications. The Electrical Technician installs, tests, and quality assures the 12V and 120V systems within projects, while evaluating and continuously improving Nomad electrical processes, while maintaining consistent use of existing ones.\nEssential Functions / Responsibility:\nSplice wires and solder connections to fixtures and equipment.\nDiagnose or repair problems with electrical equipment, such as lights, relays, battery isolators, generators sound, navigation, communication, security equipment, and leveling systems in motor vehicles.\nRun wires and cables for AC and DC systems, controls, and various electronic appliances.\nCut openings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment, using electric drills, air saws, and multi-tools.\nReplace electrical or electronic components.\nBuild wooden enclosures and carpeted wall panels to custom fit vehicle dimensions.\nCross-train in areas including, but not limited to, flooring installation, plumbing, door, and window installation, HVAC, cabinet and countertop making, welding, and I.T. integration.\nPerform additional duties as needed by Team Lead.\nBasic Knowledge Desired:\nUnderstand the significance of the Nomad Core Values apply them.\nHave a readiness and understanding of electrical pull sheets and wiring diagrams, electrical concepts, processes, and theories of 120VAC and 12VDC.\nKnowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.\narithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.\ndesign techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.\nprinciples and methods for training, teaching and instructing individuals or a group, and the measurement of the training effects.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to use hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.\nThe employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit. \nThe employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything heavier than 50 pounds will require two people to lift / carry.\nThe employee must have the ability to work from heights at the ground floor up to 20 feet from the ground on ladders or platforms of varying sizes.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish individual colors.\nWorking Environment:\nThe work environment is a partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending upon the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60F and 100F but is typically around 70F. There are times when working outside will be required.\nThe employee must have the ability to work from heights at the ground floor up to 20 feet from the ground on ladders or platforms of varying sizes.\nThe employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided.\nThere is some exposure to strong odors and fumes.\nAll Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas. The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.\nQualifications & Experience:\n1-5+ years of experience in 12V and 120V electrical experience.\nOR 1-2 years of experience in 12V and 120V electrical experience outside of Nomad GCS and secondary education certification specific to electrical.\n1-5+ years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical circuitry.\n1-5+ years of experience reading and following CAD.\n\nNomad GCS is an equal opportunity employer, (EOE,) and voluntarily follows affirmative action guidelines.
