With a strong track record and commitment to innovation and global reach, Nomura's Finance department is well-positioned to continue driving growth and success in the financial industry.\nRole Description:\n Month-End Close Activities: Downloading and verifying bank statements, reconciling exchange accruals, managing exchange daily files, and updating payment-for-order-flow (PFOF) accruals.\nReconciliations: Reconciling billing system data with exchange invoices, daily and monthly exchange data, and PFOF actuals across multiple counterparties.\nJournal Entry Preparation: Preparing and booking journal entries for accruals, actuals, connectivity fees, and other charges, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Peoplesoft uploads.\n Supporting Reports: Preparing, refreshing, and e-mailing preliminary and final reporting files (P&L, tiers, AOS/Precision, and client billing).\nOther Key Procedures: Refreshing kickout files, updating OCC files, uploading rules to billing system, reconciling unclaimed wires, and ensuring alignment with exchange fee schedules and updates.\nSkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:\n4+ years of experience in Financial Services organization in an Accounting role \nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from accredited college/university\nStrong accounting technical skills \nExperience with Options products is required \nAbility to research US GAAP independently \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nOrganized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines\nExcellent analytics, critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nAdvanced in MS Office particularly in Excel\nData Visualization tools are a plus \nNomura Leadership Behaviours\nExplore Insights & Vision: Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.\nMaking Strategic Decisions: Evaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.\nInspire Entrepreneurship in People: Inspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.\nElevate Organizational Capability: Engage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.\n Inclusion: Foster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a \"Risk Culture\" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).\n* base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
