For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com\n\nDepartment Overview:\n\n Global Liquidity Architecture Delivery (GLAD) is the strategic platform for modelling and calculating Nomura’s liquidity risk. This supports the firm’s internal monitoring and global regulatory reporting requirements such as Basel III, LCR, NSFR, etc.\nThe GLAD technology team is part of Corporate Technology Services and works closely with the Treasury department to implement solutions to ongoing regulatory changes, while continuing to evolve the platform to meet the growing demands on the technical architecture.\nRole Description:\n\nThe successful candidate will be expected to:\n\nWork as part of the global GLAD team to develop and maintain various server-side processes that are critical to meeting Nomura’s regulatory and internal liquidity reporting requirements.\nArchitect, develop, and enhance a large-scale data processing platform using Scala and Apache Spark on AWS MinIO.\nWork closely with business users to analyse business requirements and deliver high-quality data for regulatory reporting, including liquidity and risk metrics.\nContribute to the strategic enhancements to the platform such as migration to AWS.\nImplement and help optimize AI solutions for automated development, support and documentation.\n\nSkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:\n\nMandatory:\nExperienced Java / Python / Scala developer\nRelational database experience\nCompetent working in a Linux environment\nFluency in English with strong written & verbal communication skills\nExcellent teamwork skills, comfortable with working as part of a globally spread-out team\nPreferred:\nScala Experience\nExperience with Apache Spark SQL/Dataframes\nKnowledge of Basel III and liquidity reporting\nExposure and interest in using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot\n\nNomura Leadership Behaviours\n\nExplore Insights & Vision: Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.\nMaking Strategic Decisions: Evaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.\nInspire Entrepreneurship in People: Inspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.\nElevate Organizational Capability: Engage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.\n Inclusion: Respect DEI, foster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a \"Risk Culture\" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).\nDiversity & Inclusion\nNomura is an equal opportunity employer.
