The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.\nRole / Principal Accountabilities:\nThey are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Network Engineer to fill a position which consists primarily of project implementation activities and upgrade programs with operational support responsibilities as required. The role will provide hands on opportunities with traditional and NextGen networking and network management technologies by supporting the refresh of our network estate. The ‘Follow The Sun’ support function is also adopted within the small team including on-call cover and is ideal for a network engineer who would like to enhance or maintain a broad technical skill set within the data networking arena. The candidate will be expected to deal with the various business divisions directly relating to operational support and incident management therefore experience of working in a corporate banking environment would be ideal.\nKey Objectives critical to success of the role:\nThe ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience of the various networking technologies commonly deployed within the Investment bank environment including Cisco Nexus 9000, Cisco Catalyst 9000 , \nPossess relevant experience across enterprise and public cloud networking technologies\nAbility to demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills within the network arena providing support as required.\nBe able to pro-actively self manage project delivery and work as a team player\nUndertake respective incident management administration tasks\nWork closely with global engineering counterparts to deliver consistent, stable, scalable network solutions\nAbility to communicate effectively to business and technical stakeholders within the business for operational, project and deployment activities as well as have an appreciation of the risk associated with supporting a high-profile network environment.\nSkills & Experience Required:\nCandidate must have strong technical skills combined with the ability to work within a global team, must be a team player and have excellent communication skills. Must be self-motivated; be able to drive projects to meet agreed timescales whilst working with minimal supervision.\nExperienced network engineer qualified to CCNP/CCIE level or above\nStrong network operations (complex troubleshooting) and deployment (project) experience within an enterprise/financial environment. \nGood knowledge and experience of core networking technologies including routing, switching, multicast, network security and network managementon a Cisco IOS/NX-OS infrastructure\nGood knowledge of Cisco LAN architectures including working with Cisco Nexus platformsand EVPN/VXLAN & SDA deployments\nFamiliar with utilising Cisco management platforms like DCNM & DNAC to manage configuration deployment\nExperience in the deployment and support of VPN solutions (Cisco ASA/Firepower/AnyConnect) to support both remote access and client/vendor services. \nExtensive knowledgeof network routing protocols, predominately OSPF & BGP and their deployment within a virtualised environment\nAn understanding of Network Security including Fortinet competence for Firewall administration and support as well asISE and NAC deployments as network authentication solutions \nKnowledge of WAN architectures\nAbility to support both LTM & GTM F5 load balancers, \nExperience of working with Wireless technologies including controllers and Access Points and associated management platforms\nGood working knowledge of Corvil deployments and dashboard configurations for packet captures .\nExperience of using protocol analysers & decoding skills (Wireshark interpretation)\nCompetent in using network monitoring tools (Opsware, SevOne, Corvil, ThousandEyes, SMARTS)\nExperience of using scripting languages i.e. Ansible/Python\nGood understanding of ITIL principles including Change Management best practices\nKnowledge & experience to compensate the role:\nInvestment Banking/Financial Services experience\nA knowledge of the key Market Data Services (Bloomberg, Reuters etc.) that are critical to the business and their methods of delivery.\nExposure to cloud proxy solution like Zscaler\nProject management (design and implementation) of network projects\nGood competency of Unix and Windows OS\nNomura Leadership Behaviours\nExplore Insights & Vision: Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.\nMaking Strategic Decisions: Evaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.\nInspire Entrepreneurship in People: Inspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.\nElevate Organizational Capability: Engage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.\n Inclusion: Respect DEI, foster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a \"Risk Culture\" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).\n Equal Opportunity Employer:\nNomura is an equal opportunities employer.
