Project focus will be a combination of platform, private deliverables. This will involve close collaboration with platform engineering groups and transparent planning and management reporting. This position will directly contribute to the overall infra architecture and platform offering, supporting the deployment of on-premise applications, driving infrastructure implementations and serving as subject matter expert to the user community, across Infrastructure and Platform as a Service Iaas/PaaS/IaaC).\nThis is an operations role, Providing a support through follow-the-sun model for Global Cloud Operations team, including on-call rotation and weekend coverage as needed.\nRequired Experience & Skills\n\nEssential to have most of the following:\n3 - 8 years of relevant experience\nKnowledge/experience of using Terraform and Ansible\nScripting and Automation skills (e.g. Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Powercli)\nExperience on VMware platform or Redhat OpenShift\nExposure to large scale IT infrastructure support\nOS Platform knowledge Linux (RedHat 9.x or 8.x) OR Windows (2019, 2022)\nITIL experience including change and incident management preferred\nExcellent English written, verbal, and presentation skills\nExperience in observability / dashboading tools e.g. PowerBI/Grafana, will be an advantage\nCI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), will be an advantage\nJapanese language knowledge will be an advantage \nKey Responsibilities and Duties:\nHandle Asia & Europe shifts to support of cloud services through follow-the-sun support model\nParticipate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as required\nRespond to and resolve incidents, outages, and performance issues within defined SLAs\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) using tools like Terraform\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts for routine operational tasks\nCreate and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments\nConduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures\nCreate and maintain technical documentation and runbooks\nPlan and execute infrastructure changes following established procedures\nCoordinate with stakeholders for scheduled maintenance windows\n Equal Opportunity Employer:\nNomura is an equal opportunities employer.
