The team collaborates closely with trading desks, risk, and global colleagues to manage the balance sheet and P&L reporting for the firm. Product Control guides strategic decisions on financial resources by analyzing daily trading activity and explaining revenue and costs. Controllers develop strong working knowledge of the products they oversee and serve as a central point of contact to provide critical guidance that supports informed business decision-making across the organization. The department provides exposure to diverse financial products and trading strategies while working alongside experienced finance professionals. The team follows a hybrid work arrangement.\nRole description: \nExhibit strong understanding of the product control function, preferably with treasury or financial resources background\nConduct daily Unsecured Funding (UF) analysis and reporting, P&L analysis and commentary, flash-to-actual analysis, front-to-back reconciliations, and verification of manual adjustments\nUnderstand FTP charge models and treasury reserves; respond to ad hoc stakeholder queries\nCollaborate closely with business managers, global Treasury, trading desks, middle office, IT, market risk, financial reporting, and IPV teams\nSupport timely month-end close through balance sheet substantiation, P&L variance explanations to global colleagues, and preparation of financial reporting schedules\nContribute to tactical and strategic process improvement projects, including testing and implementation\nSupport book management processes including book opening/closing, dormancy reviews, trading / banking classifications\nEnsure proper controls are maintained as measured by KRI metrics\nSkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:\nMinimum 3 years of Product Control experience, with Treasury Product Control background preferred\nBachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or Accounting\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly digest complex information\nTeam player and self-starter who is proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented\nExperience working across global teams and functions, with proven ability to manage and develop junior staff in a global structure\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues to management, corporate partners, Global Markets colleagues, and stakeholders across regions\nKnowledge of digital tools - Alteryx/Power BI\nSeries 99/SIE license or ability to obtain within 3 months of starting\nNomura Leadership Behaviors\nExplore Insights & Vision: Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.\nMaking Strategic Decisions: Evaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.\nInspire Entrepreneurship in People: Inspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.\nElevate Organizational Capability: Engage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.\n Inclusion: Foster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a \"Risk Culture\" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).\n* base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
